Warm air against sun-warmed skin. Salt gathering softly at the edge of the sea. Music drifting somewhere in the distance. Time moving slower than usual.
Tulum has a way of inviting stillness without asking for it.
This bath time ritual is an invitation to recreate a little of that feeling at home.
Not perfection. Not productivity.
Just a slower evening.
Set the Atmosphere
Begin by creating a space that feels softened and unhurried.
Dim overhead lights. Open a window if the weather allows. Roll towels. Bring in natural textures—linen, stone, unfinished wood, woven baskets.
If you have candles nearby, light one. We recommend our Salt & Sol scented soy wax candle inspired by Tulum.
Let the music become part of the room before you move into the next step.
And if you’d like, let the atmosphere unfold visually, too.
Draw a Mineral Salt Bath
Try:
Tulum Salt Soak
- 1 cup coarse sea salt
- ½ cup Epsom salt
-
For extra atmosphere, choose products with notes like:
- coconut
- sea salt
- driftwood
- lime
- sun-warmed woods
-
Set a folded towel nearby and take your time.
(And if you have Salt & Sol nearby, this is a beautiful place to light it.)
Run warm water and allow yourself longer than usual.
Bring a cool drink.
Leave your phone outside the room.
Stay until the water cools.

Mix a Classic Margarita
Simple. Bright. Not overly sweet.
Classic Margarita
Ingredients:
- 2 oz tequila
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- ¾ oz orange liqueur
- Salt for rim
- Ice
Shake with ice and pour into a salt-rimmed glass.
For a slower evening, skip the shaker and serve over ice instead.
Mocktail version:
- Fresh lime juice
- Orange juice
- Sparkling water
- Sea salt rim
Create the Feeling of Staying Longer
When you step out of the bath:
- Put on something soft.
- Leave the playlist running.
- Skip the TV.
- Read.
- Journal.
- Sit outside if the evening allows.
You don’t have to fill the space.
Sometimes atmosphere comes from leaving room for nothing at all.
